Recently completed triumph…

I’ve completed one of my most favourite invitation packages to date! I can’t post a photo yet as the guests of the couple have not all received their invitations. I can’t wait to share!

For now, I’ll describe:
Woodgrain-textured paper (it’s amazing), natural raffia wrap, kraft envelopes, pink-ink accents. We went with a very natural, one-with-nature, organic theme as the bride & groom will be married in a hip distillery district restaurant that exudes the aforementioned descriptions in it’s decor and atmosphere. Here’s a little pic of the paper swatch. Love it!

I have a table at a fabulous Christmas Gift Fair!

November 27th 11-330! Stop by Burlington Central Library for high quality hand-made products by local entrepreneurs! I’ll be there with a table full of seasonal greeting cards, samples of my invitations and more! Don’t miss it!

Here is a sample of my latest and perhaps greatest invitation design yet! I was quite pleased with the outcome and Katharine was too!

We decided to go with a modern booklet-style invitation package. Tiny brad pins held all components together and the rsvp was equipped with perforations for an easy tear-off and mail effect. I hope you enjoy it!

Working on new greeting card designs…

Here are a few samples of Birdie Designs’ ‘bee series’ greeting cards. They are uniquely ‘Birdie’ and are dear to my heart since they were my first real ‘series’. Excitingly, I have some new ideas and I look forward to sharing them with you soon! The cards you see below are available for purchase at a wonderful consignment art shop called Artists Walk which is located in Burlington, Ontario (although, they will soon be available for purchase online! Yeah!).

I’m in the early design stages of creating sweet wedding invitations for a dear old friend and I’m very excited to be working on this project with her (I should also mention that I’m honoured!).

I haven’t forgotten about the photo posts – we’ve just yet to get our hands on our Canon Rebel. Please check back soooonish for more designs and definitely some photos…
